We are experiencing some disturbances every night caused by this newly opened restaurant's service entrance, and the noise now is right outside of our bedroom window.
We have been forced to be awakened in average twice a night:
1, At 2~3 am after the restaurant closed, from dumping trash, clinking empty kegs and off shift staffs thrill voices.
2. Around 5~6am beer deliveries, hand-trucks going up and down, knocking loudly on raw iron stairs, and dropping beer full kegs in thuds.
Our building is a long stretched walk-ups. Previous restaurants used to operate in the front part of the building's basement as kitchen, the service entrance had an opening on the pavement where wouldn't bother us. Currently, in between the basement kitchen and our bedroom connects a boiler room, now the boiler room has been expended into a rare part of the restaurant's kitchen or storage, and the long blocked door in decades now has become the beer house's service entrance which is right outside of our bedroom window!
We have mentioned this to our LL, the LL said is going to talk to their restaurant owner about it, so far there is no improvement.
Of course we know we need to talk to our LL again and the restaurant owner too, besides this what outside help can we get?
Is this legit or do our LL need to have some kind of permit to knock down walls to connect the boiler room and front part of the kitchen basement?(Building is from 1890).
We welcome any advice for how can we have this situation improved.
Thank you all in advance!
